Make your first product customizable

Add your first option in the Studio, then publish it so customers see it on the product page.

Steps

Path: Products > Open Product Studio > Add your first option

1. Open Products from the app menu.
2. Click Open Product Studio on your product's card. In the table view, the button is called Set up customization. While the product has no options, the Studio opens on Start customizing your product.

3. Click Add your first option. The "What does the customer choose?" screen appears.

4. Choose the card that matches what the customer does. The option settings open.

   • Under Types text: Name or short phrase, so the customer enters a name such as "Noura". Let customers add their name or a message to the product
   • Under Picks from a list: Colors, so the customer picks a color. Let customers choose a color, size or design
   • Under Uploads a file: Logo or photo, so the customer uploads their logo. We then ask whether the file shows on the product photo. Let customers upload their logo or photo

5. Click Review & publish. We check your product first, then the result appears.

   On a phone, the Review & publish button is at the bottom of the screen.

6. Click Publish now. Publishing takes up to 30 seconds.

What your customers see

Customization shows in your store within about a minute. Customers see your option on the product page and make their choice before they buy. Each customer's choices arrive with their order. The status at the top of the Studio changes to Live in your store.

Good to know

• Your store does not change until you click Publish now, because your edits are saved only as a draft.
• Publishing alone does not add a priced option to Salla. Click Add the options to Salla first. After you confirm, the button adds the options to your product in Salla right away, before you publish.
• You can go back to any version you publish for 90 days, because we keep every version.

On Zid

The price section does not show in the option.

Not showing?

• Did you publish a moment ago? Wait a minute, then refresh the product page.
• The customization widget does not show on the product page
• Check the status at the top of the Studio. If it says Draft · not published yet or Live · unpublished changes, click Review & publish, then Publish now.
• Does the Publish now button not work? First fix every message under Fix before publishing. See Fix what stops your product from publishing.
