Preview your countdown before publishing

The preview shows you how the countdown looks before visitors see it. It does not save or publish anything.

When to use this article​

  • You changed the text or colors and want to see the result.
  • You want to check the countdown before you publish it.

Steps​

Preview inside the editor​

  1. Open the countdown from My campaigns by clicking Edit (or Customize design for older countdowns).
  2. The preview appears on the same page. It updates automatically when you change any field, and "Updating preview..." appears while it updates.
  3. To update it yourself, click Update preview at the top of the Live preview panel.
  4. At the top of the preview panel you see the Live countdown timer with days, hours, minutes and seconds. This countdown actually runs until the end time you chose.
  5. The preview below it shows the whole popup.

Full preview on a demo store​

  1. In My campaigns, click the eye icon in the countdown's row, or click Preview on the settings page.
  2. "Opening preview..." appears, then the page opens.

Check that it works​

  • The text and colors look the way you want.
  • Failed to load preview does not appear. If it does, click Retry.
  • Visitors see the countdown only after you publish it and its status is Live. See Publish or pause a countdown.
