Send an automatic email after signup

You can send an automatic email to every visitor who signs up with their email in the countdown.

When to use this article​

  • You want to send the visitor a thank-you or a discount code after they sign up.

Before you start​

Steps​

  1. Open the Integrations tab.
  2. Open the Autoresponder section by clicking its title, then fill in the four fields:
    • Message title
    • Reply-to email: your email, where visitors' replies arrive, such as name@yourstore.com.
    • Sender name: the name the visitor sees in their inbox.
    • Message text
  3. To insert the visitor's data in the text, write the field name between two % signs, for example %email% or %name%. If the field is not in the form, or the visitor left it empty, it is removed from the message. Use only fields that exist in your form, and write the greeting so it reads well if the field is empty.
  4. Click Save.

PopupSnap sends the email from its verified address under your store name, and if the visitor replies, the reply reaches your Reply-to email. This is what the notice under the field says: "We send the email from PopupSnap's verified address under your store name. Customer replies go to this address."

When does the email arrive?​

  • It arrives only if all four fields are saved and the visitor's email is valid.
  • If you fill in only one field, you must fill in all the others before you save.
  • The system applies limits: at most 500 messages per hour for each popup, and at most 30 messages per day for each recipient.

Check that it works​

  • Sign up with a test email of your own.
  • The email reaches you with the subject you wrote and the Sender name you set.
  • If you click Reply, the reply is addressed to your Reply-to email.
