Collect emails with Countdown Timer

Some countdown templates have an email field. The visitor enters their email and it reaches you.

When to use this article​

  • You want to collect visitors' emails along with your offer.

Before you start​

  • The field comes from the template. You cannot add an email field in the editor to a template that does not have one.
  • Some templates have an email field and some do not. After you create the countdown, open Main text. If Email field text appears, the template has an email field.

Steps​

  1. In the menu on the left, click Countdown timer. If a submenu opens, click Available templates.
  2. Choose a template with an email field. See Choose a countdown template.
  3. In the Edit countdown timer editor, open Main text.
  4. Edit the Email field text. This is the text that shows inside the field.
  1. Edit the Button text if it appears.
  2. Click Save changes, then Publish popup.

Where do I see my subscribers?​

Open Subscribers from the menu on the left. The page shows all the customer data your popups collected. It shows the popup name, the data, the display URL and the date added. If nobody has signed up yet, No subscribers yet appears.

Check that it works​

  • Try signing up from your store with a test email.
  • The signup appears on the Subscribers page.
