Export countdown subscribers to a CSV file

If your countdown template has a form, the data of everyone who signs up is saved on the Subscribers page. From there you download it as a CSV file.

When to use this article

  • You want a copy of your subscribers' data on your device.
  • You want to upload your subscribers to another marketing tool.
  • You want to keep the data before you delete records or delete a countdown.

Before you start

  • Countdown Timer is available on Salla only for now.
  • The export button appears only if you have at least one subscriber.
  • The file contains your customers' personal data. Store it in a safe place.

Steps

  1. Open Subscribers from the menu on the left. If Countdown Timer is your only app, open Countdown timer in the menu on the left, then Subscribers.
  2. Click Export customer data at the top of the page. On a phone, the button is called Export.
  3. The message "Exporting data..." appears, then the file starts to download.

The file contains all the subscribers that match the All popups list and the "Search..." box, across all pages, not only the current page. To export the subscribers of one countdown, choose it from All popups before you export. To export everyone, choose All popups and clear the search.

What is in the file

  • The file name starts with subscribers-, followed by the date and time of the export.
  • The columns are "Popup name", "Display URL", then one column for each field in your forms, then "City", "Country" and "Added at (Riyadh time)". The column headers in the file are in Arabic.
  • The file is UTF-8 encoded, so Arabic text displays correctly in Excel and Google Sheets.

Tips to keep the file safe

  • Do not send the file in public groups.
  • Delete the file from any shared device when you finish.
  • Do not attach the file to a support request unless you are asked to, and remove sensitive data first.

Check that it works

  • A CSV file downloaded to your device.
  • Open the file and check that Arabic text displays correctly.
