Plan seasonal campaigns with Countdown Timer
A countdown shows customers when your offer ends, so they know they have limited time to decide.
When to use this article
Use this article when you are planning a campaign such as:
- Ramadan offers.
- Eid sales.
- Saudi National Day.
- End of season.
- A new product launch.
- A 24-hour offer.
Start with one goal
| Goal | Example |
|---|---|
| Get more orders in a short time | "Free shipping ends tonight" |
| Collect emails for an upcoming offer | "Sign up to get your discount code" |
| Push customers toward a specific product | "Discount on the Eid bundle until the end of the day" |
Do not try to do everything with one countdown.
Steps
- Choose the template. If your goal is to collect emails, choose a template with an email field. See Choose a countdown template.
- Write a clear offer in Main text. Customers should know what the offer is, when it ends and what to do next. For example, Main heading: "The Eid offer ends tonight", Button text: "Shop the offer now".
- Set the Offer end date and time to the same moment your real offer ends.
- Click Save changes, then check the preview.
- Click Publish popup before the campaign starts. See Publish or pause a countdown.
- When the campaign ends, pause the countdown from My campaigns.
tip
Set the countdown's end time to your real offer's end time. An honest countdown keeps your customers' trust in future campaigns.
Check that it works
- The countdown shows on your store and counts down.
- The text and end time match your offer.
