Schedule countdown visibility by date, day and hour
The schedule sets the days and hours when the countdown is allowed to appear in your store. Outside that time, your customers do not see the countdown, even if it is published.
When to use this articleโ
- You want the countdown to start appearing on the day of the offer, not before.
- You want the countdown to appear only on certain days, such as the weekend.
- You want the countdown to appear only during certain hours of the day.
Before you startโ
- Countdown Timer is available on Salla only for now.
- The schedule is not the countdown's end date. The end date is the time the countdown counts down to, and you set it in the countdown editor. See Set the countdown end date and time.
- The schedule does not publish the countdown. The countdown must be published. See Publish or pause a countdown.
- All times are Riyadh time (UTC+3). You cannot change the time zone.
Stepsโ
- Open the countdown settings page. See Open the countdown display settings.
- Open the Schedule tab.
- Turn on the Enable popup scheduling switch. The scheduling options appear.
- In Start date, choose the first day. Leave it empty to start right away.
- In End date, choose the last day. The countdown appears for that whole day. Leave it empty to continue with no end.
- In Display times, choose From and To. The hours are a list of fixed times, such as 9:00 AM (start of work) and 5:00 PM (end of work).
- In Display days, turn on the days you want. If you choose no days, the countdown appears every day.
- Click Save. A green "Updated successfully" message appears.
Quick presetsโ
Under the dates you find Or choose a quick preset. A preset sets the hours and days with one click:
| Preset | Hours | Days |
|---|---|---|
| Always on | From 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM | Every day |
| Business hours | From 9 AM to 5 PM | Sunday to Thursday |
| Weekend | The whole day | Friday and Saturday |
A preset clears both dates. If your offer has specific dates, choose the preset first, then choose the two dates, then click Save.
Hours that run past midnightโ
If you choose a start hour that is later than the end hour, the period runs past midnight until the end hour on the next day. For example, from 9:00 PM (night) to 12:00 PM (noon).
- The period counts for the day it started, and it includes the end hour itself. If you turn on Thursday only, the countdown appears from 9 PM on Thursday until 12 noon on Friday.
- On the last day of End date, the countdown appears for that whole night, until the end hour on the next day.
Check that it worksโ
- At the top of the schedule section, a summary shows the days and hours. If scheduling is off, it shows Off ยท always shows.
- Open your store in a private browsing window during the scheduled time. Changes reach your store within a few minutes.
Common errorsโ
