Choose the pages where the countdown appears
The countdown can appear on every page of your store, or only on the pages you pick with rules. This setting is in the Display tab of the countdown settings page.
When to use this article
- You want the countdown on your whole store during a sitewide offer.
- You want the countdown on one product or category page only.
- You want to hide the countdown on pages that do not fit the offer, such as the cart page.
Before you start
- Countdown Timer is available on Salla only for now.
- Open the countdown settings page. See Open the countdown display settings.
- If you want specific pages, open the page in your store and copy its URL, or the part of it that identifies the page.
Steps
- Open the Display tab.
- Click the title of the Where should the popup appear? section to open it.
- To show the countdown on all pages, turn on All pages, then go to step 8.
- To show the countdown on specific pages, turn off All pages. Targeted pages and the Add rule button appear.
- In the first rule, choose a match type from the list, then enter the URL or part of it in the field next to it.
- To add another rule, click Add rule, choose a different type and enter its value.
- To delete a rule, click × next to it. The delete button appears when you have more than one rule.
- Click Save. A green "Updated successfully" message appears.

| Does not match exact | The page URL is not that URL. |
| Contains | The URL contains the text you entered. |
| Does not contain | The URL does not contain the text you entered. |
| Starts with | The URL starts with the text you entered. |
| Does not start with | The URL does not start with the text you entered. |
| Ends with | The URL ends with the text you entered. |
| Does not end with | The URL does not end with the text you entered. |

The field shows an example for the type, such as Full URL ( ex: https://domain.com ), Part of the url ( ex: /product/102481 ) or Text that is included in the website.
How rules work together
- The countdown appears when all the rules are true together.
- You use each match type only once. Types used in another rule show as unavailable in the list.
- When you have used every type, the Add rule button disappears.
- For example, Starts with your store's URL together with Does not contain the value
/cartshows the countdown on every page of your store except the cart page. - You cannot choose by product or category. Use the URL of the product or category page.
Check that it works
- In the Live preview panel next to the settings, "Where does it appear?" shows either All pages or Selected pages.
- Open your store in a private browsing window. Check that the countdown appears on the page you want and does not appear on the excluded pages. Changes reach your store within a few minutes.
Common errors
| What you see | Fix |
|---|---|
| You do not see the Add rule button | Turn off All pages first. If it is still hidden, you have used every match type. |
| The type you want is not available in the list | Another rule already uses that type. Edit that rule instead of adding a new one. |
| The countdown does not appear on the page you want | Exact match needs the full URL, exactly. Use Contains with the distinctive part of the URL. |
| The countdown does not appear on any page | Check that the rules do not conflict. All the rules must be true together. |
