Choose when the countdown appears

Here you choose the moment the countdown appears for a visitor after they enter your store.

When to use this article​

  • You want the countdown to appear after a few seconds instead of as soon as the page opens.
  • You want it to appear when the visitor is about to leave the page.

Before you start​

Steps​

  1. Open the Display tab.
  2. Open the When should the popup appear? section by clicking its title.
  3. Under Popup display trigger options, choose one:
    • Show after a delay in seconds: enter the delay in Seconds.
    • Exit intent: the countdown appears when the visitor is about to leave the page.
    • Scroll percentage from top to bottom: enter the percentage in Scroll (%).
  4. Click Save.

Other options in the list​

The list also shows:

  • "When Add to cart is clicked (experimental - Salla stores only)"
  • "When Buy now is clicked (experimental - Salla stores only)"

These two options are experimental. We do not recommend them for a countdown.

Check that it works​

  • "Updated successfully" appears after you save.
  • Open a page of your store in a new window and wait the time you set.
  • The countdown must be published. See Publish or pause a countdown.
