Schedule a Lucky Wheel campaign

Use this article to run the wheel during a set period, such as a seasonal offer.

When to use this articleโ€‹

  • You want the wheel to start or end on a certain date.
  • You want it to appear on certain days or at certain hours.

Before you startโ€‹

  • Publish the wheel. Scheduling sets when a published wheel appears.
  • Have the start and end dates ready.

Stepsโ€‹

  1. In the menu on the left, open the Lucky Wheel group, then click Manage popups. The My campaigns page opens. Click โ€ฆ next to the wheel, then Settings (on a phone, tap Settings).
  2. Open the Schedule tab.
  3. Turn on Enable popup scheduling.
  4. If you want a quick preset, choose it first: Always on (24/7, all week), Business hours (Sunday to Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM) or Weekend (Friday and Saturday only). The preset sets the hours and days and clears the two dates.
  5. In Start date, choose the start date. Leave it empty to start right away.
  6. In End date, choose the end date. Leave it empty to run indefinitely. The end date is included in the period.
  7. In Display times, choose From and To from the lists.
  8. In Display days, choose the days. If you choose no day, the wheel appears every day.
  9. Click Save.

All times are in Riyadh time (UTC+3). There is no setting to change the time zone.

Available hoursโ€‹

  • From: 12:00 AM (midnight), 6:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 9:00 PM.
  • To: 11:59 PM (end of day), 5:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM.

There are no other options. If From is later than To, the wheel keeps running through the night until the next day. The part after midnight follows the day the period started on, so the end date and Display days are counted by the start day. Example: from 9:00 PM to 12:00 PM, the wheel appears from 9 in the evening until noon, and the night from Thursday to Friday morning needs Thursday to be turned on.

Check that it worksโ€‹

  • The message "Updated successfully" appears after Save.
  • The section summary shows "On", then "From โ€ฆ" and "Until โ€ฆ" if you set dates, then "Every day" or the number of days. If you turned scheduling off, it shows "Off ยท always shows".
  • Open your store in a private browsing window at a time inside the schedule and check that the wheel appears.
  • Open it outside that time and check that it does not appear.
  • After you spin the wheel in a test, it will not appear again in the same browser (the default is one spin). Close every private browsing window, then open a new one for another test.

FAQโ€‹

Can I schedule an offer for a holiday such as Eid?โ€‹

Yes. Choose the start and end dates, and publish the wheel before the start.

Does scheduling publish the wheel automatically?โ€‹

No. Scheduling only sets when the wheel appears. You still need to publish the wheel. See Publish or pause a Lucky Wheel.
