Create your first Lucky Wheel
Use this article to create a new wheel from a ready-made template and open the wheel editor.
When to use this article
- You want to create a new wheel from the templates.
- You want to know what happens after you click a template.
If you just installed the app and your account is new, a ready wheel named "Lucky Wheel" is already open in the editor. You can edit it right away, or create another wheel with these steps. See Install Lucky Wheel on your Salla store.
Before you start
- Lucky Wheel is installed on your Salla store.
- Decide which prizes you want to offer.
- Create your coupon codes in Salla first (Marketing Tools > Discount Coupons). You paste them into the wheel later.
Steps
- In the menu on the left, open Lucky Wheel, then click Available templates.
If you also have the Popups and notifications app, the menu shows a single Lucky Wheel row. Click it.
- Find the template you like. You can use the "Search templates..." box.
- Click Choose template on the template you want.
- In the Create a new popup window, enter a name for the wheel in the Choose a popup name field. This name shows in your My campaigns list.
- Click Save.
- Wait until the Wheel editor opens.
The name is optional. If you leave it empty, PopupSnap picks a name for you.
- Edit the prizes and coupon codes in the Prizes and coupons card. The details are in Edit prizes, coupons and wheel segments.
- Click Save changes to save your edits. On wide screens, the save status shows in the bottom bar: Saved or Unsaved changes.
Saving does not publish the wheel. Visitors to your store do not see a new wheel until you publish it.
- When you are done, click Publish popup in the button bar at the bottom of the editor (on wide screens) so your store's visitors can see the wheel.
Check that it works
- The Wheel editor opens.
- The editor shows the title Configure Lucky Wheel with your wheel's name.
- The wheel shows in your My campaigns list with the status Paused until you publish it.
If something goes wrong

FAQ
Is the wheel published automatically after I create it?
No. A new wheel is created unpublished. You publish it yourself after you edit the prizes.
Is the name required?
No. The name is optional and shows in your My campaigns list.
