Add a WhatsApp button to the result page
Use this article to add a button on the result page that opens a WhatsApp chat with you. The button is a fixed link that you enter. PopupSnap does not send messages to winners.
When to use this article
- You want the winner to contact you on WhatsApp after the spin.
- You want to change the button text or color.
Before you start
- Have your store's WhatsApp link ready.
- Open the Wheel editor from My campaigns: click the Edit icon.
The button does not appear in every template. The twelve newly designed templates have no button on the result page, so this setting changes nothing in them. Some older templates have a button and some do not. After you save, check in Test winning result that the button appears.
Steps
- At the top of the editor, click the Thank-you page tab.
- In Thank-you page settings, paste your WhatsApp link into the WhatsApp link field.
- Enter the button text in WhatsApp button text. The field shows the example "Contact via WhatsApp".
- Choose the button color in WhatsApp button background and the text color in WhatsApp button text color.
- Click Save changes.
- In the Live preview, choose Test winning result, then Show result. Check that the button appears.
How do you write the WhatsApp link?
The link usually starts with https://api.whatsapp.com/send?, then phone=, then your phone number in international format, without a leading zero and without a + sign. Example with a placeholder number:
https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=9665XXXXXXXX
The link is fixed. PopupSnap does not add the prize name or the code to it.
Check that it works
- The button appears in Test winning result with the text and color you chose.
- Clicking the button opens a WhatsApp chat with your number.

FAQ
Does every wheel need a WhatsApp button?
No. The button is optional, and many templates do not show it.
Does PopupSnap send the prize to the winner on WhatsApp?
No. The button only opens a chat with you.
