Change the wheel background

Use this article to change the background behind the wheel: a solid color, or an image you upload from your device.

When to use this article​

  • You want a background color that fits your store's brand.
  • You want to put an image behind the wheel.

Before you start​

  • Open the Wheel editor from My campaigns: click the Edit icon.
  • If you plan to use an image, prepare it at about 1300 × 860 pixels, in JPG, PNG or WebP format.

Steps​

Solid color​

  1. Scroll down to the Wheel background card.
  2. Choose Solid color (a plain background behind the wheel).
  3. Choose the color in Wheel background color. The default color is white.
  4. Click Save changes.

Image​

  1. In the Wheel background card, choose Image (upload an image from your device).
  2. Click Upload image and choose the file.
  3. When the upload finishes, the message "Wheel background image uploaded successfully" appears.
  4. From Image display method, choose:
    • Cover the area (the default)
    • Show the full image
    • Stretch the image
    • Original size
  5. From Image position, choose the position. The default is In the middle.
  6. Click Save changes.

To change the image, click Replace image. To delete it, click Remove image.

Check that it works​

  • The message "Wheel background image uploaded" appears under the image field.
  • The Live preview shows the new background.
  • The message "Changes saved successfully" appears.

Common errors​

What you seeFix
"Wheel background image upload failed"Try again with a JPG, PNG or WebP image under 5 MB.
The background did not change in the storeCheck that you clicked Save changes, then wait a few minutes.
The image is croppedTry Show the full image.

FAQ​

Is the wheel background the same as the prize image?​

No. You set the background in its own card. You add prize images to each segment: see Add prize images to wheel segments.
