Delete subscriber records

Use this article to delete test records or customer records you no longer need.

Warning

Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. The Subscribers page shows the data of all the popups in your account, not only wheels. Check the popup name in each row before you delete.

When to use this article​

  • You want to delete test records.
  • You want to delete a particular subscriber.
  • You want to clean up the data after trying the wheel.

Before you start​

  • In the menu on the left, open Subscribers.
  • If you need the data, export it first with the Export customer data button.

Steps​

Delete one subscriber​

  1. On the Subscribers page, find the row you want.
  2. Click the delete icon (Delete subscriber) in the row.
  3. The Delete data window opens with "Confirm delete?".
  4. Click Delete, or Cancel to go back.
  5. The row disappears from the table. No success message appears for a single delete.

Delete several subscribers​

  1. Select the rows with the checkboxes, or click Select all.
  2. A bar appears with "5 selected" and the Clear selection and Delete selected buttons.
  3. Click Delete selected.
  4. The message "Are you sure you want to delete 5 subscribers? This action cannot be undone." appears.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.
  6. The message "5 subscribers deleted successfully" appears. The wording of the messages changes with the number.

You can delete from 1 to 100 subscribers in one request.

Deleting a wheel deletes its subscribers​

When you delete a wheel from My campaigns, all the subscribers it collected are deleted with it. Export the data before you delete the wheel. See Manage your wheels from the My campaigns list.

Check that it works​

  • The deleted records no longer appear in the table.
  • After you delete several subscribers, the success message appears.

Common errors​

What you seeFix
"Please select subscribers to delete"Select at least one subscriber before you click Delete selected.
"Rate limit exceeded. Please try again later."Wait a little, then try again. The limit is 50 requests per minute.
You deleted the records of a real campaign by mistakeThey cannot be recovered. Check the popup name in each row before you delete.

FAQ​

Should I delete test records?​

It is a good idea, so test records do not get mixed up with real customers.

Can I undo a deletion?​

No. The confirmation message says the action cannot be undone.
