Redirect customers to a link after the spin
After the customer spins the wheel and submits the form, the wheel shows the result page with the coupon code. You can send the customer to a link you choose instead.
When you turn on the redirect, the customer goes straight to the link and does not see the result page or the coupon code. Do not use it if the winner relies on the code shown in the wheel.
When to use this article
- You want to send the customer to an offers or category page after the spin.
- Your prize does not depend on a code shown in the wheel.
Before you start
Have a full link ready that starts with https://.
Steps
- In the menu on the left, open the Lucky Wheel group, then click Manage popups. The My campaigns page opens. Click … next to the wheel, then Settings (on a phone, tap Settings).
- Open the Integrations tab, then click the section title Action to open it.
- Under Action after the popup goal is completed, choose Redirect to any URL.
- In Redirect to, enter the full link.
- Click Save.
To cancel the redirect, choose Go to the Thank You page, then click Save.
The customer reaches the link exactly as you wrote it, even if it contains an & sign.
Check that it works
- Open your store in a private browsing window.
- Spin the wheel with test data.
- Check that you were taken to the link you entered.
After the test, delete the test record from Subscribers.
Common errors
| What you see | Fix |

| "Redirect URL Not a valid URL" | Enter the full link, starting with https://. |
| The customer does not see the coupon code | This is expected. The redirect skips the result page. Show the code on the page you redirect to, or cancel the redirect. |
| The customer is not redirected | Check that you saved, wait a few minutes, then try in a private browsing window. |
FAQ
Can I show the result page and then redirect?
No. If you turn on the redirect, the result page does not appear. See Set up the result and thank-you page.
Is the subscriber saved when the customer is redirected?
Yes. The subscriber is saved on the Subscribers page.
