Set the number of spins per customer

Use this article to set how many times a customer can spin the wheel. The default is one spin.

When to use this article

  • You want to allow a customer more than one spin.
  • You want to know why the wheel does not appear for a customer who already spun it.

Before you start

Open the Wheel editor. In the menu on the left, open the Lucky Wheel group, then click Manage popups. The My campaigns page opens. Click the Edit icon next to the wheel.

Steps

  1. Scroll down to the Wheel settings card.
  2. Find Customer attempts count. The explanation under it reads: "After the customer uses all attempts, neither the wheel nor the mini wheel will appear for this browser."
  3. Leave Enable the limit turned on. It is on by default.
  4. In Allowed plays count, enter a number from 1 to 20. The default is 1, and "Attempt per customer" appears next to it.
  5. Click Save changes.

The limit is counted per browser and device. Use a higher number if you want to allow more than one spin.

What happens when the spins are used up?

Neither the wheel nor the mini wheel appears for that browser. A customer who clears their browser data or uses another device may be able to spin again. The limit is not tied to email or phone number.

Check that it works

  1. Open your store in a private browsing window.
  2. Spin the wheel as many times as allowed.
  3. Check that the wheel does not appear after the spins are used up.
  4. For a fresh test, close every private browsing window, then open a new one. See Reset a browser test session.
