Add a set from My library to a product

You add a set saved in My library to a product, so you do not type its choices again.

Before you start

Steps​

Path: Products > Open Product Studio > Options

Add it as a new option​

  1. Click Add option at the bottom of the list. In Step by step, click Add option here inside the step, and the option is added to it.
  2. In "What does the customer choose?", click From my library. The Add from my library screen opens.
  3. Optional: type the set's name, or the name of an item in it, in the "Search your library…" box.

  1. Click the set. Product Studio adds it as a new option linked to the set, and opens its settings.

    "Linked to library" shows at the top of the settings, with the set's name.

  1. Click Review & publish, then Publish now. Until then, nothing changes in your store.

You can also start from Library in the Studio bar. Click the set, then Use in this product.

Use it in an option you have​

  1. Click the list option to open its settings.

  2. At the bottom of the settings, click Link to a saved set to keep the option linked to it. Or click Copy a set’s choices to take a copy with no link.

  3. Click the set. Product Studio puts its choices in place of the option's current choices.

    If the option is linked to an option in Salla, Product Studio asks you first. Click Replace the choices to go on, and its link to Salla is removed.

What your customers see​

The customization goes live in your store within about a minute. After Publish now, the customer sees the option with the set's choices. The option's look follows the set type, so a Colors set shows to the customer as colors.

Good to know​

  • A linked option follows the set. When you edit the set, the linked products update when you choose to update them. Copied choices do not change when you edit the set.
  • If "The saved set changed" shows in the option, click Update the link to take its latest version.
  • To edit the option for this product only, click Detach for this product. See Library settings in the Studio.

Not showing?​

  • You do not see the set in the list? When you link an option you have, only the sets that suit its type show.
  • You do not see Link to a saved set? It shows for a list option that is not linked, and not for an image option.
  • Did "The linked set is no longer here" appear? The set was deleted from My library. Click Detach for this product to keep the choices.
  • You do not see From my library or Library? They do not show in a bundle product. Details in Library settings in the Studio.
