Draft vs. published in the Studio: what is the difference?
The draft is what you edit in the Studio. The published version is what your customers see in your store.
What it looks likeโ
Under the product name in the Studio, a status tells you whether your changes are published.
Use it whenโ
- You edited a product and do not see the change in your store. Your customers see only the published version until you click Publish now. After you publish, the change shows within about a minute.
- You want to try a change without your customers seeing it. Edit, and do not publish.
- You want to know your product's status. Look under its name: Draft ยท not published yet, Live in your store, Live ยท unpublished changes or Paused.
- Your product is paused and you are about to publish. Publishing shows the customization to your customers again.
- You want to go back to what you published before. Each publish is saved as a version in History.
- You want to know what changes your store right away, without publishing. The main ones: Add the options to Salla, the Customization shows on the product page switch, and copying to several products with Create Salla options.
Autosaveโ
Each change is saved to the draft a moment later. Autosave does not publish. On a computer, Saved automatically shows at the top of the Studio. Look changes under All your products are not saved automatically, so click Save now.
