The Products page in Product Studio

Path: Products in the app menu. The page title is Choose products to customize.

The page lists all the products in your store. From here you open the Studio for any product. At the top of the page are four buttons with numbers: All products, Customization on, Published to customers and Need attention. Click a button to see only its products, and click it again to clear the filter. The All products number is the number of products in the current list. Need attention groups drafts, products that need review, and products with an error. Click Refresh products to read your products from Salla again. All the guides are in Every setting explained and what the words mean. The Start page is in The Start page in Product Studio.

Card view and table viewโ€‹

Two buttons above the list: Card view and Table view. The page always opens in card view and does not remember your choice. The table columns are Product, Store product status, Customization status, Last updated and Actions. Under the list are the page numbers, and you choose how many products to show per page.

On a phone, the cards are in one column, and the table scrolls sideways.

Open the Studioโ€‹

On the card the button is Open Product Studio. In the table it is Set up customization. Both open the product in the Studio and change nothing in your store.

The eye buttonโ€‹

An eye icon on the card, with no text. It opens the product page in your store in a new tab. It appears only when the store product status is Published. Otherwise you see a crossed-out eye icon, faded, that does nothing. This icon does not appear in table view.

Product customizationโ€‹

On the card there is a Product customization switch. In the table there is an Enable customization or Disable customization button. It works right away, with no confirmation message. Turning it off hides customization from your customers on this product. It changes nothing in your product in Salla. If the change is not saved, a message appears and the switch goes back to how it was. The Enabled or Disabled badge at the top of the card shows only the state of the switch.

Store product statusโ€‹

On the card, a line In store: followed by the status. In the table, the Store product status column. The status comes from Salla, and you change it in Salla only.

StatusWhat it means
PublishedThe product is for sale in Salla
HiddenThe product is hidden in Salla
Out of stockThe product has no stock in Salla
DeletedThe product was deleted from Salla
UnknownWe could not read its status from Salla

Published here is about the product in Salla, not about customization. If the product is not Published, its picture looks faded on the card.

Customization statusโ€‹

A colored badge on the card, and the Customization status column in the table.

BadgeWhat it means
Setup errorThere is an error in the product's setup
Needs reviewOpen the product and fix what blocks publishing
On, no options yetThe switch is on, and there are no options yet
Setup not startedNo options, and the switch is off
Unpublished draftIt has options that are not published yet
Live for customersYour customers see the customization
Paused for customersPublished, and the switch is off

If you published it before and the switch is on, it stays visible to your customers while it shows Needs review.

Bundles in the listโ€‹

This section is for Salla stores only. It shows on a product that is a bundle. Salla may turn the bundle into a fixed bundle. When that happens, a line says the customer choices are paused for now. In table view only, the bundle gets its own badge instead of the customization badge:

BadgeWhat it means
Publish stoppedPublishing the bundle to Salla did not finish
PublishingWe are publishing the bundle now
PublishedThe bundle and its customization are published
Needs reviewThe bundle or its customization needs attention

Under the badge, a line says where to fix it: in Bundles or in the Studio.

Search for a productโ€‹

The Search for a product box searches your products. Next to it is the Filter and sort products button. The button opens four lists:

  • Product status: by its status in Salla.
  • Customization status: Customization enabled or Customization disabled.
  • Publishing status: for example Unpublished draft or Published to customers.
  • Sort by: name, last updated or price, ascending or descending.

In Publishing status, Fix before publishing shows the products whose badge is Needs review. Click Clear to reset everything, with sorting by name. If you find no results, click Clear filters.

On a phone, a Filters button appears instead of Filter and sort products.

Copy experienceโ€‹

Copies one product's customization to other products. It opens the Copy one experience to several products panel. You choose a source product, select the target products, then click Review the copy now. You confirm with the Copy to selected products button. If you choose Create Salla options, we add the options to each target product in Salla right away. If you choose Order note, the Salla note box appears on each target product right away.

Create a bundle from themโ€‹

Appears when you select two or more products. The selection boxes appear only while the Copy experience panel is open. It opens the steps to create a bundle, with the selected products already chosen. Nothing changes in Salla until you publish the bundle.

Error messagesโ€‹

If the products do not load, a card shows the reason, with the Try again and Refresh page buttons. If Salla cannot be reached, we show the last saved copy of your products. In that case, Reconnect Salla may appear. If Refresh now appears, click it to see the latest list.
