Publishing blocked: something deleted is still in use
Usually you deleted an option, and another option still shows based on a rule about it. Open the option named on the card.
What you seeβ
In Review & publish, under Fix before publishing, there is a card with an option name and a message such as:
- "A visibility rule or link in βName on mugβ points to an option that was deleted. Edit it."
- "An image used in βMug colorβ no longer exists. Choose another image."
- "The text spot for βName on mugβ was removed from the picture. Place the text again."
- "A choice in βMug colorβ changes a layer that no longer exists. Choose the layer again."
The card may also have no option name, with the title "Something in this product needs a look before publishing."
Most likely causeβ
You deleted an option, an image or a spot, and an option still uses it.
Fixβ
1. A rule points to a deleted optionβ
Did you delete the option a moment ago? Click Undo in the message that appears after the delete. Or click Open option on the card. The option name follows it. Open When does it show? The deleted option no longer appears there by name. Choose another option and choice, or choose Always. Or open Advanced settings and click Delete next to the rule. Rules are explained in Option settings in Product Studio.
2. An image no longer exists or was not uploadedβ
Open the option from the card's button. Upload the image again, or choose another image.
3. The spot for the text or customer image was deletedβ
Open the option and click Place on photo. Place the spot again. The explanation is in Picture and spot settings in an option.
4. A choice changes a part that no longer existsβ
Open the option. Under "Which part of the photo changes?", choose the part again. If you do not want the photo to change, choose No, it stays the same. The explanation is in Picture and spot settings in an option.
